Moore Stephens are proud to be lead support for the 2021 Junior Summer Sessions. The Guernsey Surf Club have successfully run the annual series for a number of years and Moore Stephens are now lead support for this great event. We will also be supporting the Guernsey Surf Clubs ongoing water safety aspect which will culminate in a Beach Safety course in September/October. Moore Stephens looks forward to providing ongoing help with these initiatives within the surfing community for years to come.

The Guernsey Surf Club will be aiming to kick off the 2021 Junior series on the weekend of the 7/8th August. This is a members only competition, so if you’re yet to sign you and your kids up as club members, then now is the time.
We will keep an eye on the weather and conditions nearer the time to determine which day is the best to run on.
The format will be similar to previous years in that we will run a best of 3 events with accumulated points totals resulting in an overall championship in the following categories-
10 and under. Boys and girls.
14 and under. Boys and girls.
18 and under. Boys and girls.
(The under 18s will run as a single comp at a date to be announced during the summer/autumn in bigger more challenging surf)
The age group they’re in is determined by the age of the child on the date of the first event.
This year we will be running separate competitions for the girls due to the increasing numbers of girls participating which is fantastic, so there won’t be any girls v boys in heats going forward.
Please note the following important information
We have decided going forward that during competitions, there will be no parental help during heats. This means no helping or pushing them into waves. We feel that this gives an unfair advantage and those that are able to catch their own waves should be rewarded for it.
We are happy for parents to help on the beach, and we will assess on the day if any younger kids would need any help making it out to the lineup if the conditions are

A prize giving will be organised for all the juniors that have taken part in the Junior Series though out the summer for the end of September / October.

Payment before the day of the event is prefered so that we can know numbers. Payments can be made on the day and failure to pay will mean you will not be allowed to enter the event.
Competitors must be members of the Guernsey Surf Club (which includes third party insurance).
